Pratham Padakshep Welfare Society is a Kolkata-based non-profit organization founded in 2012 with a heartfelt mission—to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for individuals with diverse abilities. Our name, Padakshep, means “first step,” symbolizing the journey of transformation we help our children and young adults embark upon.
Registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, we are driven by the belief that every child, regardless of their challenges, deserves an opportunity to grow, express, and lead a life of dignity.
We specialize in working with specially abled children and young adults, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, learning difficulties, ADHD, and other developmental conditions.
Our focus is on empowering individuals through education, therapy, life skills, and compassion—so that every step they take brings them closer to independence and inclusion.
